My fiance’ and I have been together for 12 years and we live together. I handle all the bill paying but of course he contributes money. It drives me crazy to find strange phone numbers on his cell phone bill. Not long ago I found a number that belonged to a girl and he explained it away by saying that his friend had lost his phone and borrowed his. I accepted that excuse until one day I picked up his phone and went through his phone book. There she was as bold as could be. He tried to tell me he didn’t know his friend had put her number there. I don’t think if I was borrowing someones phone I would put numbers in their phone book. Ever since then he has been very careful not to let me get my hands on the phone. I need to find a good reverse numbers search site that is accurate even if I must pay. I would prefer to pay only once though and not per search. Please don’t advise me to leave him. I feel that I have too much time in the relationship to give up without proof of his cheating.

I am trying to find the name of the individual using their phone number.

Is there a free site that will allow me to find the name of a cellular or unlisted number at no cost?

I have found some that offer partial services, but none offer a name without referring me to a payment site.

I do know that the unlisted landphone uses Pacific Bell and the cellphone uses Sprint Spectrum.
I think I have discovered the name.
Is there a free people lookup service that will give me their address?

Reverse phone search and lookup sites are a dime a dozen on the web these days. Demand to find unknown cell phone numbers is high, and usually its a good idea to find out who has been calling you, or in some cases your child or spouse. It’s easy to lookup a phone number, all you have to is enter the 7 digit number plus 3 digit area code into one of the Top 7 reverse phone search websites and within seconds you will have the callers name, address, other numbers they own, and in some cases a full background check with access to full government records.

These companies create their massive databases by paying phone companies for name and number lists that aren’t available freely or in phone books. Cell phone numbers, business and unlisted numbers are never freely printed due to privacy reasons, but will be available on any of these Top 7 Reverse Phone searches. A small fee is required for access to the database, but it definately worth all of the information available.

How To Get The Best Deal On Your Reverse Phone Search

The Top 7 sites differ widely in their pricing structure. Reverse Phone Search
Ed Opperman asked:

Every successful private investigator has a tool box. On TV you’ll see a PI using a gun, lock picking tools and disguises. In real life it’s a bit less glamorous but also a whole lot more legal.

In real life an investigator will handle a telephone handset a million times more than he will ever handle a firearm. So in this series of articles we will examine the tools every PI must have in order to conduct successful telephone investigations. Reverse phone number databases, telephone trap lines and blind lines or caller ID spoof cards are all tools every investigator should have.

Reverse Phone Number Databases:

Before you can use the phone you need a phone number. Or you may already have a number but need to know the customer name and address of that number. This is where the telephone number data base comes into effect.

Every investigator should have access to databases that will return a customer name and address (CNA) from a non published or unlisted phone number. These database services will also have information on telephone numbers. They may be able to provide you with an unlisted phone number from a just a name or just an address. They also may be able to supply you with a cellular or wireless number from just a name or address.

Today on the Internet there are literally thousands of companies that offer this service. Some of these companies will only provide the information to lawyers, licensed private investigators , collection agencies or other licensed businesses with a legitimate need for this information. Other companies do not, all they require is a valid credit card. You submit your order and the information is returned via email a few minutes later.

Not all of these services are the same and not all have access to the same information. Some will have up to date information and some will have old outdated data. So do your research and homework first and try to establish a long term working relationship with your information broker.

There are also other ways to obtain reverse phone number information. You can call the number and using a pretext, perhaps in conjunction with a caller ID spoof card, and trick the person that answers into revealing their information. Likewise you might email the target or snail mail the physical address with a pretext and include a trap line number. When the subject calls the trap number their information will be revealed through automatic number identification even if they have caller ID blocked.

Obviously you can use your imagination and apply a reverse phone number search to many routine investigations such as skip tracing, current employment locates and infidelity investigations.

Our next article in this series will examine caller ID spoof cards and their use in routine investigations.

Before hiring a private investigation service be sure to perform your due diligence. Make sure the PI is considered an expert in telephone investigations. Check to see if they offer a variety of telephone investigative services such as reverse phone searches, trap lines, caller Id and even cell phone forensics.

You want to put your investigation into the hands of an expert in every area of telephone investigations.

Be careful of instant online searches that promise the world for a one time low fee. This is impossible. If it seems too good to be true it’s never going to be real. Its going to be a scam.

How to Find the Owner of Any Phone Number Using Reverse Phone Search

A reverse phone search can find you much information about who has been calling you when you lookup your phone numbers using a reverse phone search service. There are many of these services available online, but only about seven of them are of high quality standards. When you need to lookup cell phone, business, unlisted and landline numbers from another state (or province) you will not be able to find them in regular phone books. This is because these numbers are not freely printed, but instead phone companies sell their data lists to third party sources, who in turn compile massive databases containing virtually every phone number and name, as well as government records about every caller. This means that you can perform a full background check on anyone using only their phone number. This also means that reverse phone search companies must charge a small fee for you to view their records, in order for them to pay for database costs. Don’t worry though, you can still perform free preliminary searches which will narrow the callers location down to city and state, and you can then decide whether it is worth pursuing further. Also, in order to get the best deals possible, all you have to do is view a price comparison between the Top 7 Reverse Phone Searches.

Reverse Phone Search
Graham Alexander asked:

A Reverse Phone Search is by far the best way to find who owns a telephone number. About a year ago I needed to find out who was calling my girlfriend. The caller never spoke, but just called repeatedly, often late at night, or while she was at work. It was worrying for her, because the caller knew her home phone number, work phone number, and cell phone number. Luckily because of my background in telecoms, I knew the best way was to use a Reverse Phone Lookup, but I did try a few other things first.

First off, as a long shot, I typed the number into the Google search engine – there was a slight chance I might find something, especially if the caller had put their phone number on a website, or if it was a business number.

My next attempt was to find a free reverse phone number directory. There are several available on the internet – again I used Google to find them. I selected what I thought was the best site, and keyed in the number. There was always the chance that the number was listed, and would have told me what I wanted to know, including the name and the entire address of the owner.

Unfortunately in this case, I was unlucky, and needed to try a slightly different approach.

I turned out in the end that the reason I was unsuccessful was because the number was a mobile phone. Cell phone numbers aren’t held in a freely available central database, so the free reverse phone lookup sites I tried couldn’t provide the information I needed.

At this stage, I knew there was little point trying lots of different reverse phone search sites in order to find who owned the number. Generally they all use the same databases, so if I didn’t find it at one, I wouldn’t find it elsewhere. There was no alternative but to use a paid Reverse Phone Search to Find Who Owns The Telephone Number. While researching the different sites, I found pros and cons for some of the better ones, and decided to publish my findings online. If you need to find who owns a telephone number, then you will almost definitely need to use a paid Reverse Phone Lookup service, so hopefully my review will help you choose the one that’s best for you.
